Extra-Curricular Activities
Students at MPW enjoy a range of extra-curricular activities
including a varied General Studies programme with sports, languages and
other interesting subjects such as photography and music. The MPW football
team regularly plays against other schools, and there is an annual staff-student
football match. Students also take part
in the production of the MPW
Newsletter.
Special events throughout the year include debating competitions, an annual
charity gala evening jointly organised by students and staff and an annual
exhibition of staff and student art and photography, while on the more
serious side students benefit from careers-related seminars in the library.
Apart from the organised activities, students benefit from the location of MPW
with easy access to South Kensington's World-class museums, including the Science
Museum, Natural History Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum. Hyde Park is
a short walk away, and there is a gym nearby which MPW students can use.
... academic courses are complemented by a growing programme of activities, mainly in the sixth form. On Wednesday afternoons the Year 12 timetable is kept free to allow access to more than 20 activities.
